This event was held on February, 4th 2019. ASEAN Studies Center presented a speaker, Tumina, S.S., M.Pd, who is a lecturer from the Pamane Talino College of Teacher Training and Education (STKIP), Landak District, West Kalimantan Province. This discussion was intended to share knowledge and experience with the participants, the students of various faculties at the Universitas Sebelas Maret. Mrs. Tumina shared her story about the journey to become an educator in the border region. Landak Regency itself is a region that falls into group 3T, which is tertinggal, terdepan, terluar. It which means that Landak is still lagging behind, foremost, and outermost in Indonesia. This discussion was expected to provide new stories for students while at the same time attracting their interest to be willing to serve in the border of Indonesia.
