Salieg Luki Munestriis a lecturer at International Relations Department, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS). She accomplished her bachelor degree at English Department, Faculty of Letter and Fine Arts of UNS, majoring in American Studies in 2007. Her interest in international issues made her enroll in master degree program at International Relations Department, Gadjah Mada University in 2008. Within a year from 2007 to 2008, she was working at English Language Training International (ELTI) Solo and Yogyakarta. In 2009, while she was preparing her master’s thesis, she was offered by a senior Professor of UNS to help his team compose proposal for the establishment of International Relations Department at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, UNS. In 2012, the department was officially established and she started lecturing at the department. She has been active at the Center of ASEAN Studies and Research Group on International Cooperation and Diplomacy. Her committed career professionalism inspires her to pursue a Ph.D program in International Relations. Interested in American Studies, her bachelor’s and master’s theses were concerning American foreign policies post 9/11 bomb blasts. However, her enthusiasm in Jokowi’ new maritime doctrine has inspired her to conduct a study concerning Indonesian historical Spice Routes to support the doctrine. After finishing her study, she has intention to return to her institution and to dedicate herself to International Relations Department, UNS.
